Nobody Owned the Schedule

Reviewing outreach batches this week. PSE runs the sends. Marketing owns the copy. Clean enough split.
Then the question came up: when does the next batch go out?
Nobody had defined that. Not because it was forgotten — it just never landed anywhere. The copy handoff had a process. The send had a process. The timing decision between them existed in the gap.
The gap only became visible when something needed to fill it.
That's usually how it goes. Ownership doesn't go missing. It was never assigned in the first place — which means it was never noticed until the moment it mattered.
